So what's up with you?

Well, I'll guess I'll start. I thought it might be fun to find out what everyone has been up to lately. Rich & I celebrated our 20th anniversary this summer -- which I thought was incredible in this day & age, but as I thought that I realized that I went to several of your weddings as a single woman & a lot of you are still married as well. I guess we're an exceptional group of people.
I've lived in Augusta for the past 13 years. We've got 2 sons -- William, age 11, grade 6 --at an age where his friends are his number 1 priority & Mark, age 9, grade 4 -- who can't stand the fact that William has more friends in the neighborhood than he does, especially since William seems to be gone so much or has so many friends over. Rich works for the state -- he's in his 20th year there & is in the Navy Reserves. I've been teaching Spanish at Erksine Academy, a semi-private school in South China, about 14 miles from home, for 9 years. I taught for 12 years before that in Skowhegan.
That's it for now. What's up with you?

Hi Everyone! Beth thanks for getting the ball rolling. Also, GO TO BED! You are blogging at 3:00 in the morning! Michael and I still live in Moultonborough, New Hampshire. Michael has been busy as a project manager for Cormack Builder's building million dollar lake homes and I am still a sales representative for GlaxoSmithKline traveling around New Hampshire. My baby, Zack, will be 20 soon and is a sophomore at UNH studying business. He is hoping to be studying abroad in Budapest next year. He is such a great kid and I'm very proud of him. Sare' is 8 and her favorite past time is drawing clothing designs. She is now in the Art Club at school. She is very creative and loves to dance, sing and play basketball and softball. She also has a BFF and spends many nights on sleepovers. Life here is great but I wish I had more time for family and friends. I can't wait to see you all this summer....25 YEARS!

Hi Strangers,
Thank you Beth for including me. Gosh, to tell about my life would be to write a book. I'll write the condensed version. We live in Shortsville NY. My oldest of four boys is about to make me a first time grandmother. Ugh!! His major was criminal justice, and he is working security. My second son is a senior, and is very musical. Grant my ten year old is taking after his older brother and just landed his first role in the high school musical for the spring. They are putting on The Sound of Music. He is pleased to play Kurt VonTrapp. Seth my six year old is quite an athlete.
I'm still in the hair business and sing with a Christian band and I am recording again in April.
Life is busy and full of God's blessings!
It would certainly be wonderful to see you all again. We will do our best to make the trip.

I was not up blogging at 3:00 -- I'm not sure why the computer says I was. I'm lucky if I make it to 11:00 most nights. I may have been up at 4:30 on the computers. If I'm too tired at night, I'll go to bed early & finish my homework in the morning. Imagine having graduated 25 years ago & still doing homework!!!!!

Lisa,
I'm amazed that you're going to be a grandmother -- we're way to young -- but just as amazed that you're going to be a grandmother and still have a 6 year old at home!!!! Wow, talk about spreading out your kids!!!! Amazing!!!!
(I love the Sound of Music -- my family doesn't share my enthusiasm though.)

Hello,
I am still here in Friendly Fort Fairfield...and will stay until I die. Steve and I will celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary in July. When our 13 feet of snow melts, I will enjoy working in my flower garden. Steve and I are both involved in church activities. I am a Senior Youth Leader at United Parish Church. Josh is 18 and plans on attending Northern Maine Community College in the Computer Repair Program after he finishes this year of home schooling. Melanie is in her junior year of college at U.M.P.I. and just celebrated her
21st birthday. She works at Lowes, U.M.P.I. and is currently an afterschool recreation coach at Fort Elementary. She plans to internship in recreation. We have a husky named Lindy and a tiger cat named Daisy. I am looking forward to catching up with everyone at the reunion.
Take care and God Bless,
Bonnie

Where to begin? Life has been full of ups and downs along the way. As some of you may know my mom pasted away a few years ago and I'm still dealing with that.
I haven't been back to Fort for 28 years. Though I didn't graduate with you all, I still feel as though I did. I wish that I could come back for the reunion but I still live in Omaha, NE and have a lot going on right now. I have 5 children.. Chris who is 25 and will be getting married next spring, Jessica.. 23 who has a little girl Charity 4, Kassandra.. 22 she is married and has 2 beautiful children.. Lilly 3, AJ 18 mths, Tiffani..21 who just got married last fall and is expecting her first child (a girl..Georgia Ann)any day, then my baby Brani.. 20 who will be graduating college in June. So if any of you where able to keep track of all that .. 5 kids, 4 grandchildren you can see why life is busy. My husband John and I have been married for 9 years this June. Hard to believe! He is a computer programs/director for Convergy's. I stopped working a few years back to stay home and babysit my grandchildren. I wouldn't trade it for anything!! I worked in Real Estate and Mortgage lending for 17 years and decided grandchildren are way more fun...plus you can spoil them rotten and then send them home with mom!
I do email Heidi (Estey)Nicholson and Kerri (Atkins) Black so every now and again I get caught up a little. If you would like to send me an email my email address is helenmckinley@msn.com I would love to hear from you all.
Hope this note finds every one well! I hope the reunion is a big success!!

Shibaraku desu ne?

Hello from the other side of the planet. It's funny where life takes us, isn't it? I'm now living in Okinawa, Japan. Sadly, I won't be able to make the reunion, but I will be back in the states during that time. I'll be making my annual pilgrimage to a cow pasture in the middle of Nowhere, Wisconsin for four days of music and everything that hasn't been made illegal yet.

It's always difficult to explain to anyone where you've been over the past several years. I've long since given up trying to keep up with everyone, and I've resorted to the internet to keep people updated. I've had blogs from time to time, but things in my life always seem to veer off in unexpected directions, and I've had to shut them down because I accidentally caught the beginning of something just too bizarre, or in some cases legally questionable. As the Chinese say, "May you live in interesting times."

And interesting times they have been. I've started a new web site, prompted by all the people who track me down from time to time, and because of the impending reunion. You can peek into my private life at www.greginjapan.com. For a peek at what I've been up to, read the "About me" page, and the blog post titled "Where the Hell have you been?" I don't think I can enter a real URL here, but if I could it would look like this: Where the Hell have you been? (On second thought, it looks like I can)

I hope everyone is doing well, and you all have fun at the reunion. Best wishes, come visit Japan sometime! ;)

Oh, and the first sentence, "Shibaraku desu ne?" means "It's been a long time, hasn't it?"

...and Helen. Grandchildren?? Wow. Just... wow.
